Professor Mustafa Saroar lectures on Sustainable Urban Management at Khulna University of Engineering and Technology (KUET), Bangladesh. Prof Saroar has more than 20 years of experience in teaching, research, academic and development administration, and consultancy services. He did PhD from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok & Norwegian University of Science & Technology (NTNU), Trondheim, Norway (under Exchange Program). He holds an MSc from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany. He worked for many institutions including Unicef, UNDP, FAO, WHO, GIZ, RVO, and CGIAR institutions. Prof. Saroar is an eminent expert in the broader field of Sustainability Science. His specific interest covers Urban Resilience, Urban Ecosystem & Services, Urban WASH & FSM, Climate Adaptation, Disaster Risk Reduction, Water Resources & Coastal Management, Food Security, and Sustainable Livelihood. He has published more than 40 peer-reviewed papers from leading publishers including Springer, Elsevier. T&F, Wily & Sons, Emerald, IGI Global, etc. He has presented as a key-note and invited/plenary speaker at more than 30 high-impact international conferences, seminars, and workshops held in North America, Europe, Oceania, Latin America, Africa, and Asia. He has traveled over 30 countries and has established a strong professional network and ties with many individuals and institutions.
