Karolina Chmaj-Wierzchowska is a specialist in gynecology and obstetrics, with completed postgraduate studies in the field of urogynecology and clinical trials. From 2003, she served as an employee at the Mother and Child Health Clinic, Gynecological and Obstetrics Clinical Hospital of the Medical University in Poznań. She is also an assistant professor at the Department of Mother and Child's Health, Department of Health Sciences Medical University of Karol Marcinkowski in Poznań. She completed her MD studies at the Poznań University of Medical Sciences.  She habilitated doctor in the field of medical sciences and health sciences, in the discipline of medical sciences in 2022. From 2015 to 2021, she was the chairwoman of the GPSK Hospital Infections Control Team. Difficult clinical situations in gynecology, urogynecology, and obstetrics as well as hospital infections are her main clinical interests.
