MAGED A. ESMAIL received his B.E. degree in Electronic Engineering from Ibb University in 2006, and his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees (Hons.) in Electrical Engineering from KSU University in 2012 and 2017, respectively. From 2013 to 2017, he worked as a Graduate Researcher at the KACST Technology Innovation Center in Radio Frequency and Photonics for the e-Society Center. Since 2018, he has been an Assistant Professor at Prince Sultan University. His research interests include fiber-optic communications, PON and long-reach PON, network management and protection, sensor networks, free space optics, visible light communications, and machine learning applications for optical communications.
