Dr. Alhumimidi earned his PhD in Geosciences “Hyperspectral Imagery and Terrestrial Laser Scanning (LiDAR) Integrated with Surface and Subsurface Data Sets for the Geologic analysis” from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2017. He has applied these techniques to sites in USA, Canada, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. Dr. Alhumimidi currently is the Director of the National Center for Mining Technology, Material Science Research Institute at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) and Member of advisory board at Geomatic department at King Abdulaziz University. He is also member of a research laboratory group at KACST focused on laser scanning and 3D capture. Mansour also participated in a project with Japan Cooperation Center Petroleum to develop a 4D continuous seismic monitoring method for carbon sequestration. Mansour has worked as a Head of Natural Hazards Center - Oil and Gas Research Institute in KACST. He has worked at King Saud University in Riyadh Saudi Arabia as a Researcher Dr. Alhumimidi joined KACST in 2008. He holds an M.S. degree in Remote Sensing and GIS in Geoscience, from University of Texas at Dallas, M.S. degree in Geosciences (Paleontology) in 2011 from King Saud University and a B.S in 2008 degree in Geology from King Saud University.
