Dr. Ku Marsilla Ku Ishak is a lecturer of Polymer Engineering at the School of Materials & Mineral Resources Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). She is a young, motivated and passionate lecturer with 7 years teaching experiences who strive to INFLUENCE and INSPIRE. Dr Ku Marsilla Ku Ishak received her PhD (Material & Processing) from University of Waikato, New Zealand. In 2018, she was recognized as Professional Technologist by Malaysian Board of Technologies. She has been working on formulation and processing of polymer/biodegradable polymer for more than 9 years. Her field of research interest includes development of biodegradable materials from waste, development of biodegradable smart packaging, separation and waste water treatment as well as development of thermoplastics blends for 3D printing. As a woman lecturer in engineering, she takes pride in being role model to woman in engineering. She believes that the presence of woman raises the standards of ethical behavior, empowered strength and create positive environment.
