Necmi Altin is a Professor at the Gazi University. He received the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees from Gazi University, Ankara, Turkey, in 2000, 2003, and 2009, respectively. He joined to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Faculty of Technology, Gazi University as an Assistant Professor in 2010, and he was promoted to Associate Professor and Full Professor positions in 2014 and 2020, respectively. He has been a Visiting Scholar at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA from 2017 to 2019. His current research interests include power electronics, application of power electronics in renewable energy systems, high power factor rectifiers, grid interactive inverters, solid state transformers, and control systems. He has authored and coauthored over 150 journal and conference papers, and four book chapters. Dr. Altin is currently serving as the Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industry Applications for Renewable and Sustainable Energy Conversion Systems Committee. He received Best Paper Award from 8th International Conference on Renewable Energy Research and Applications (ICRERA2019) and 13th International Conference on Electronics, Computers and Artificial Intelligence (ECAI2021).
