Alberto Magi is an Associate Professor in Information Engineering at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Florence, Florence, Italy. He earned, a Ph.D. in Systems and Informatics at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, Firenze, Italy in 2005. From 2014 to 2017, he was an Assistant Professor in Experimental and Clinical Medicine at the Università degli Studi di Firenze. From 2018 to 2021, he was an Assistant Professor at the University of Florence. His research interests include acute kidney injury, genetic and nutritional factors; and Visor, a versatile haplotype-aware structural variant simulator for short- and long-read sequencing.
