Zbigniew Stropek In 1995, I graduated from the University of Technology, Faculty of Mechanical Engineering in Lublin and earned the title of MSc in mechanics and machine engineering. In the same year, I started a job at the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. In 2003, I received my PhD in agricultural sciences in the field of agricultural engineering. The title of my doctoral dissertation was "Modelling of viscoelastic characteristics of selected fruit and vegetables". In 2016, I achieved a post-doctoral degree in agricultural sciences - agricultural engineering based on a thematically coherent series of publications entitled "Mechanical characteristics of apples under impact loading conditions". My scientific interests are focused on studying the response of fruit and vegetables under quasi-static and impact loading conditions, and the determination of parameters characterizing plant material under the above mentioned conditions. I am a member of the Polish Society of Agrophysics. For my scientific activities, I received the Rector's awards in 2016, 2017 and 2021. Currently, I am working as a associate professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Automatic Control.
