Dr. Qin Zhuo has a degree in nutrition and food hygiene; she is a professor and the vice director of Central Laboratory, National Institute for Nutrition and Health, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. She is also a member of the National Agricultural Committee of GMO Biosafety. She has engaged in food safety assessment on GMO products with regard to energy metabolism and energy requirement of Chinese residents. In recent years, as a chief investigator, she successfully obtained two Chinese National Natural Science Foundation grants. As the first or corresponding author, she has published 50 peer-reviewed research articles.
