Dinesh K. Patel received his B.S. and M.S. degrees in chemistry from the University of Mumbai, India, and the Ph.D. degree in chemistry from the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, University of Mumbai, India in 2014. He is currently a Research Scientist with Carnegie Mellon University. Prior joining to Carnegie Mellon University, he worked as post-doctoral fellow at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel. He has coauthored over 60 refereed journal and conference publications. Some of his work is featured as front cover in reputed Journals like Nature, Advanced Functional Materials, Advanced Materials Technologies and ACS Sustainable Chemistry & Engineering. His research interests include functional 3D printing at micron and mm-scale, soft robotics, actuators, morphing materials, microfluidic devices, printed electronics, and mechanoluminescent devices.
