Jahid Hasan is a Lecturer in the Department of Aquatic Environment and Resource Management under the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Science at Sher-e-Bangla Agricultural University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. He obtained a Bachelor of Science in Fisheries (Honours) (CGPA 3.97 out of 4.00) and Masters of Science in Fisheries Management (CGPA 3.91 out of 4.00) from Gazipur Agricultural University (GAU), securing the Third position in both the cases in order of merit. Jahid Hasan has received several prestigious scholarships and fellowships for academic excellence and research. NST fellowship from Bangladesh, Nagao Natural Environment Foundation (Japan) Scholarship, Merit Scholarship from the Faculty of Fisheries, Gazipur Agricultural University (2015–2018). Additionally, Jahid Hasan worked in several research projects funded by international and national agencies like WorldFish, IFS, PKSF, MOST and GAU. However, Jahid Hasan is actively involved in university teaching and student supervision. His research focuses on the Environmental Pollution, Environmental Management, Algae, Water Quality, Freshwater Ecology, Coastal Ecology, Aquatic Ecology, freshwater biodiversity and Marine Biodiversity. Jahid has published research articles in national and international peer-reviewed journals, contributing to research in his field.
