Dr. Mei Liu is a Professor in Control Science and Engineering at Guangdong University of Petrochemical Technology, China. She received her Ph.D. degree and currently serves as a doctoral supervisor. Her research focuses on fault diagnosis and intelligent information processing, sensor and detection technology, wireless sensor networks, and artificial intelligence applications. She has led multiple research projects including a National Natural Science Foundation of China grant. Dr. Liu has published extensively in top journals such as Expert Systems with Applications and Measurement, with research on deep learning-based object detection methods (YOLO variants) for industrial applications including crack detection, fire smoke detection, and bearing fault diagnosis. She has been recognized with numerous awards including the National Petroleum Society Education Achievement Special Award and Guangdong Provincial Education Achievement First Prize.
