Cloud computing (CC) is on-demand accessibility of network resources, especially data storage and processing power, without special and direct management by the users. CC recently has emerged as a set of public and private datacenters that offers the client a single platform across the Internet. Edge computing is an evolving computing paradigm that brings computation and information storage nearer to the end-users to improve response times and spare transmission capacity. Mobile CC (MCC) uses distributed computing to convey applications to cell phones. However, CC and edge computing have security challenges, including vulnerability for clients and association acknowledgment, that delay the rapid adoption of computing models. Machine learning (ML) is the investigation of computer algorithms that improve naturally through experience. In this review paper, we present an analysis of CC security threats, issues, and solutions that utilized one or several ML algorithms. We review different ML algorithms that are used to overcome the cloud security issues including supervised, unsupervised, semi-supervised, and reinforcement learning. Then, we compare the performance of each technique based on their features, advantages, and disadvantages. Moreover, we enlist future research directions to secure CC models.
The increasing demand of routing in the field of communication is the most important subject in ad hoc networks now a days. Flying Ad Hoc Network (FANET) is one of the emerging areas that evolved from Mobile Ad Hoc Networks. Selecting the best optimal path in any network is a real challenge for a routing protocol. Because the network performance like throughput, Quality of Service (QoS), user experience, response time and other key parameters depend upon the efficiency of the algorithm running inside the routing protocol. The complexity and diversity of the problem is augmented due to dynamic spatial and temporal mobility of FANET nodes. Due to these challenges the performance and efficiency of the routing protocol becomes very critical. This paper presents a novel routing protocol for FANET using modified AntHocNet. Ant colony optimization technique or metaheuristics in general has shown better dependability and performance as compared to other legacy best path selection techniques. Energy stabilizing parameter introduced in this study improves energy efficiency and overall network performance. Simulation results show that the proposed protocol is better than generic Ant Colony Optimization (ACO) and other traditional routing protocols utilized in FANET.

The forthcoming 6G networks are expected to provide a vision of overlapping aerial-ground-underwater wireless networks. Meanwhile, the rapid development of the Internet of Underwater Things (IoUTs) brings forth many categories of Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV)-assisted Underwater Wireless Networks (UWNs). In this paper, we argue that the AUV-assisted UWNs can be intelligently utilized to track underwater pollution. To perform smart underwater pollution tracking, we propose the paradigm of AUV flock-based networking system and Software-Defined Networking (SDN)-enabled AUV flock Networking System (SDN-AUVNS). We introduce the concept of Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) into the control of SDN-AUVNS and propose the upgrade of the control plane of the SDN-AUVNS to with the multi-tier edge computing ability. By the proposed system architecture, we adopt the artificial potential field theory to construct the network controlling model. And we present the underwater tracking model for SDN-AUVNS, especially for the underwater pollution equipotential line of a particular concentration. Furthermore, to provide accurate path planning for the equipotential line tracking, we utilize the linearizability mechanism to optimize and revise the control input for the SDN-AUVNS. Lastly, we give a fast united control algorithm that can intelligently schedule the SDN-AUVNS to track underwater pollution equipotential lines. In particular, we propose a smart approach with the name of ’Inverse Distance Weighting’ to optimize the detection sample of the SDN-AUVNS. Evaluation results indicate that our proposal is able to track/survey the equipotential lines within a satisfactory error.
