Ing. Lenka Girmanová, PhD. (year of birth: 1979) studied Industrial Management engineering at the Technical University of Kosice. Since 2003, she has been employed as an assistant professor at the Institute of Materials and Quality Engineering in the Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy, and Recycling. In 2007, she received her doctorate in the field of metallurgy. Her scientific research activities cover the areas of quality production and management systems, especially quality management systems and environmental management systems. She also deals with the issue of life cycle assessment and the use of the best available techniques in metallurgy.
