This study investigates whether higher start-up intention leads to innovative behavior and whether innovative behavior is increased by the medium of entrepreneurship. This study tested the hypotheses by conducting a survey on students participating in entrepreneurship club activities in university. The results showed that start-up intention affects innovative behavior and has a significant effect on the sub-factors of entrepreneurship, such as innovation, risk taking, and proactiveness. The result of an analysis of the mediating effect of entrepreneurship on innovative behavior showed that all sub-factors performed a partially mediating role. It can therefore be said that higher start-up intention leads to more innovative behavior and that entrepreneurship serves as an important link in this relationship. These results show that increasing start-up intention may lead to innovative behavior and imply that this has educational relevance in cultivating entrepreneurship. However, this study is limited in terms of the generalizability of the results, as the subjects are university students participating in entrepreneurship club activities in Korea. Therefore, more significant outcomes can be obtained in further research by targeting a broader scope of subjects.

Metacognition is important as a leading factor in enhancing innovation behavior because it involves elements of planning, monitoring, and regulating for specific actions in the creation and introduction of new ideas. A more extended approach is needed in the interpretation and application of entrepreneurship. Considering entrepreneurship as the exclusive property of top management within the enterprise is not beneficial as it limits the scope for entrepreneurship, given the importance of entrepreneurship and the economic and social significance of corporate success. Entrepreneurship education provides trainees with a way to work within the global dimension of their economic activities and their influence, and to understand the various elements of the economy and society they live in and the process of their transformation. In order to explore existing knowledge and new knowledge, it is necessary to take more innovative actions by responding flexibly to unforeseen situations and utilizing the knowledge required for various tasks. The lack of intrinsic motivation to demonstrate innovative behavior can lead to individual differences in innovation behavior. Those who are given intrinsic motivation are learning-oriented and say that they want to get rid of stereotypes and get new alternatives and ideas for problem solving.

This research examined how core self-evaluation (CSE) develops from social support in the career context and how it influences individuals' life satisfaction. Study 1 used a field survey to collect data from 768 university students for testing the mediating role of CSE in the relationship between career social support (CSS) and life satisfaction. Study 2 employed two experiments with two groups of participants ( n = 103 for Experiment 1 and n = 102 for Experiment 2) to further verify the Study 1 findings obtained from cross-sectional data. The results from these two studies showed that CSE mediated the CSS-life satisfaction relationship in such a way that CSS served as a cause of CSE, which in turn affected individuals' life satisfaction. Among the first to use both field study and experiments to confirm the antecedent (i.e., CSS) and outcome (i.e., life satisfaction) of CSE, this research offers useful insights regarding CSE as a causal mechanism underlying the effect of CSS on life satisfaction and carries important theoretical and practical implications.

International new ventures (INVs) that pursue rapid internationalisation have received a growing amount of attention worldwide. This study, therefore, examined characteristics of INVs, and hence investigated empirically the relationships among the technological characteristics of INVs, the characteristics of their chief executive officers (CEOs) (i.e., global orientation), and their internationalisation such as the level of internationalisation. The findings of this study can be summarised as follows: all of the technological characteristics (e.g., technological capacity, imitation, innovation, and standardisation) have significant effects on the internationalisation of INVs. Furthermore, the CEO’s global orientation mediated the relationship between the technological characteristics and internationalisation.
