Rolando González-José, is a Principal Investigator at the Patagonian Institute of Human and Social Sciences (CONICET) in Puerto Madryn, Argentina. Currently, he is the Director of the National Patagonian Center for Research (CENPAT), a large research center holding eight multi-disciplinary institutes with more than 40 laboratories and five hundred researchers, technicians, and students. His research interests are focused on the evolution of modern cosmopolitan Latin American populations, with emphasis on the fine-scale structure of genetic and non-genetic variation.
