João Pereira is pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Beira Interior. João received his MSc. degree in Physics and Chemistry at University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal in 2010 and MSc. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering at University of Beira Interior, Covilhã, Portugal in 2016. Currently, João is a member of the Institute of Telecommunications (IT) and a Ph.D. student at the Instrumentation and Measurement Laboratory (IML) at University of Beira Interior - Portugal. His research interests include wired and wireless sensor networks, sensors and actuators in Industrial Internet of Things and Industry 4.0, and the IEEE 1451 family of standards.
