Prof. Shih-Cheng Horng was born in Taiwan in 1971. He received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees, all in electrical engineering, from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1993, 1995, and 2006, respectively. He is currently a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Chaoyang University of Technology, Taichung, Taiwan. He was awarded the Global Peer Review Awards of Clarivate Analytics, top 1% of reviewers in 2019. His research interests include optimization theory with applications to large simulation/optimization problems, machine learning, and simulation modeling of complex systems.
