Prof Wolowiec was born in Rzeszów, Poland in 1949. He graduated from Rzeszów University of Technology and University of Wrocław in 1979, He received his PhD (1983) and M.Sci titles (1999) from University of Wrocław. He visited as post-doc to Vrije Universiteit te Masterdam (1987-1998) and University of Houston, TX USA (1998-1989). He worked as Research Associate in University of Wrocław, Poland in the 1980-1999 and later in position of professor in Rzeszów University of Technology (1999-2010) and University of Rzeszów (2010-now). His research was focused on bioinorganic chemistry (1979-1999) within porphyrin chemistry, and later polypyrazolyl)borate complexes (2000-2010). After joining staff in Medical College in University of Rzeszów his research interests were focused on Drug Delivery Systems, including anticancer drugs and polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers as drug carriers.
