Samet Poyraz received his Ph.D. degree from Mersin University at the Faculty of Pharmacy in 2021 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. H. Ali Döndaş. He has worked as a visiting researcher at the Vrije University of Belgium (under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Guido Verniest) and the University of Burgos (under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Tomas Torroba Perez). He is an assistant professor at Çukurova University Faculty of Pharmacy.  His research interests are synthetic strategies involving 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions, metal complex synthesis, characterization, structural elucidation, and designing novel antibacterial, antituberculosis, antifungal agents, cholinesterase, and carbonic anhydrase inhibitor candidates.
