As an agronomist and plant physiologist, the prime aim of my research is to develop practical and effective practices for farmers to use to overcome weeds and enhance their crop productivity and input-use efficiency in a sustainable and cost-effective manner. I am particularly interested in developing hormone-based strategies for combating Striga. My research also aims at exploiting the potential of small carotenoid-derived molecules for usage as bio-stimulants in agriculture.
