Marta Kinga Lemieszek, Associate Professor – Head of the Department of Medical Biology at the Institute of Rural Medicine in Lublin, Poland. Habilitated doctor in the field of medical and health sciences. The main area of my scientific activity is the assessment of chemopreventive, neuroprotective and immunomodulatory properties of substances of natural origin, in particular dietary components (edible mushrooms, microalgae, barley grass, spices) and the identification of molecular mechanisms of their action in cells. The second important field of my interest is tissue repair disorders following chronic exposure to environmental antigens, with particular emphasis on lung fibrosis. I am the author of over 77 publications from the Philadelphia List (H-index Scopus: 22) and over 50 congress reports from international conferences.
