Gabrijela Begić is a master of medical laboratory diagnostics and is the senior laboratory assistant at the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Rijeka. She graduated in 2015 for her graduate study in laboratory diagnostics at the Medical Faculty, University of Rijeka. She has been a PhD student since 2019 at the Doctoral School-Biomedicine and Public Health (Health and Environmental Engineering) Medical Faculty, University of Rijeka. Since 2002, she has been working at the Department of Microbiology and Parasitology, Faculty of Medicine, Rijeka, as a laboratory assistant. Since 2016, she has been conducting professional supervision of laboratory diagnostics for the Croatian Chamber of Health Workers. She has participated in many workshops and training programs in her field of work. She is a member of the the Croatian Microbiological Society. The areas of her scientific interest are laboratory diagnostics in microbiology and bacterial biofilm research.
