Dr. Elena Manaila has a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from 2003 and works as Senior Researcher II at the National Institute for Laser Plasma and Radiation Physics (NILPRP) in Bucharest, Romania. Her main occupational skills are chemical synthesis and material processing (polymerization, grafting, cross-linking) in electron beam and microwave fields, physical and chemical characterization of electron-beam- and microwave-processed materials, the interaction of ionizing radiations (accelerated electron beams) and non-ionizing radiations (microwaves) with matter, and electron beam chemical dosimetry. She has been involved in national and international research projects and contributes to investigations and analyses for scientific articles.
