Yu-Hsi Huang received B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in mechanical engineering from the National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, Republic of China, in 2001, 2003, and 2009, respectively. He received the Dr. Ta-You Wu Memorial Award (the Young Researcher Highest Honor), from the Ministry of Science and Technology, Taiwan, 2019. He received the First Prize award in the students paper competition from the Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics of Taiwan in 2003. In winter through fall of 2009, he was a visiting scholar at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Michigan. Now, Dr. Huang leads the Experimental Mechanics Laboratory at National Taiwan University (NTU) since 2018 to the present. His research fields are mainly piezoelectricity and piezoelectric material, vibration, solid mechanics, and experimental mechanics. Recently, he has studied in detail sensors and actuators, piezoelectric energy harvesters, fluid-structure interaction on piezoelectric structures, photoelasticity, and the mechanical properties of materials.
