Dr. Gang Zhao is a Professor at the Petroleum Systems Engineering Program of The University of Regina. Saskatchewan, Canada. His research interests include transient pressure analysis for heterogeneous reservoirs, naturally fractured reservoirs, reservoir simulation, well performance analysis, and CHOP well optimization. Recent researches are focused on tight formation multistage fracturing, shale gas development study and geothermal reservoir heat production. Dr. Zhao holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees from SWPU (1985), CRIPED (China, 1988), and U. Tulsa (USA, 1999), respectively. He has lifetime membership of the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and served as a technical editor for journals of SPEREE, JCPT, JPSE, AWR, JERT, etc.
