Vladimir Yu. Bazhin was born in Sverdlovsk (Ural region, Russia) in 1962. He received his Doctorate in “Metallurgy of Ferrous, Non-Ferrous and Rare Metals” from Saint Petersburg Mining University, Russia, in 2012. He holds the title "Honorary Metallurgist of Russia". He currently holds the position of Head of the Automation of Technological Processes and Productions Department at St. Petersburg Mining University. His research interests include the processing of mineral and technogenic materials, in addition to digital production management systems.
