Stefano Rossi is a Professor of Product Design and Protection of Materials at the University of Trento and an Adjunct Professor of Materials Technology at the Free University of Bolzano. In 1991, he obtained a degree in Material Engineering from the University of Trento. In 1997, he obtained his PhD in Materials Science and Technology from the University of Florence. Since 1992, he has been working at the Material Engineering and Technology Department of the University of Trento in the area of material engineering and technology, focusing on their interaction with the environment and the anticorrosion techniques. He was a visiting professor at the Université de Provence, Marseille, France from 1999 to 2008 and has been a visiting professor at the University of Vigo, Spain since October 2002. His research interests include material science, coatings, paints, electrochemical measurements, surface characterizations, corrosion behavior, glassy enamel and metallic layers, coatings abrasion characterization, and color and aesthetical aspects of materials.
