His main research interests include analog and digital electronic design; design, characterization and modeling of advanced sensors for monitoring physical quantities; development of data acquisition and processing systems. The skills acquired in these fields have led him over the years to collaborate with several medium-small and large industrial companies (among the latter, he has collaborations with Nuovo Pignone Tecnologie Srl, Infineon Technologies Italia Srl, RFI), as well as with several research groups, and to have an active role in terms of technology transfer (he was a founding member of two university spin-off companies, and is among the inventors of 5 patents). His research activity is documented by more than 200 papers (journals or international conference papers).
