Mehmet Rasit Yuce is a Professor at Monash University.
He received his M.S. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the
University of Florida, Gainesville, Florida in 2001, and his Ph.D. degree in
Electrical and Computer Engineering from North Carolina State University
(NCSU), Raleigh, NC in December 2004. He was a post-doctoral researcher in the
Electrical Engineering Department at the University of California at Santa Cruz
in 2005. He was a Senior Lecturer in the School of Electrical Engineering and
Computer Science, University of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia until July
2011. In July 2011, he joined the Department of Electrical and Computer Systems
Engineering, Monash University, Australia. He received the best journal paper
award in 2014 from the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTTS). He
also received a NASA (National Aeronautics and Space Administration) group
achievement award in 2007 for developing an SOI radio transceiver for space
applications. He received a research excellence award in the Faculty of
Engineering and Built Environment, University of Newcastle, in 2010. His research
interests include low-power electronics design, IoT sensors, implantable and
wearable medical devices, telemedicine, wireless body area network (WBAN),
bio-sensors, MEMs sensors and actuators, integrated circuit technology, radio
frequency circuit design, and energy harvesting.
