Prof. Gaio Paradossi is Full Professor of Physical Chemistry at Dipartimento
di Scienze e Tecnologie Chimiche, University of Rome Tor Vergata, Rome, Italy. After
graduating at the University of Rome, Italy, he was a post-doc in Israel, the United
States, and France. In 1984, he joined the Department of Chemistry of the
University of Naples, Italy, as assistant professor. In 1990, he moved to the
University of Rome Tor Vergata. In 1999 he was Visiting
Professor at University of Kyoto. He is author of more than 200 papers in
international, peer-reviewed journals on several topics concerning biomaterials. His research activities cover the design of new functional contrast agents, the structural and dynamic properties of
hydrogels, the formulation of nanocomposites for biomedical uses, micro- and
nano-devices for molecular imaging, drug release, and dosimetry.
