Dr. Xiangyang Miao is a Professor at the Institute of Animal Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in Beijing. He performed his doctoral studies in biochemistry and molecular biology at the College of Biological Sciences, China Agricultural University. He also worked as a visiting professor at the University of Guelph, Canada, Harvard University, University of California, Davis, and the University of Maryland, USA. He is a principal investigator and academic leader who has successively led more than 30 projects. His research areas of interest are molecular and developmental biology, functional genomics, and molecular breeding. His research interests currently focus on developmental biology, genomics, epigenomics, high-throughput sequencing, bioinformatics, and systems biology. He is an evaluation expert at the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the National Scholarship Fund, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission, Beijing Science and Technology Award, Beijing Senior Professional Title, the National Key Research and Development Program of China, China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center, Jiangsu Science and Technology Consultation, etc. He is an associate Editor for Frontiers in Endocrinology, Frontiers in Physiology, Frontiers in Genetics, Frontiers in Veterinary Science, BMC Veterinary Research, etc. He is an outstanding expert at the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
