José Luis Pastor Navarro is a Doctor of Engineering from the University of Alicante. He is a geological engineer and a public works technical engineer from the same university. He is currently a tenured professor in the Field Engineering Area of the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Alicante. He previously worked for 13 years at Consultco s.l., a construction quality control laboratory, where during this time he was head of the Geotechnical Area, Roads Area and Structural Pathology Studies. As main tasks within this company, he designed and supervised geotechnical field prospecting campaigns and soil characterization through laboratory tests. He has performed numerous geotechnical studies for both civil engineering and construction, as well as slope stability studies. Additionally, within the field of road geotechnics, he has conducted soil improvement studies with different additives. Among the functions performed are also the calculation of foundations, underpinning and reinforcement of structures and various engineering projects.
