Prof. Dr. Zamri Chik obtained his BSc in Chemistry and MSc in Pharmacology from the University of Malaya, and later his PhD in Clinical Pharmacology from the University of London (UK) in 2007. Soon after completing his doctorate degree, he joined the Department of Pharmacology, University of Malaya, as a Senior Lecturer and currently serves as a Professor in the Department of Pharmacology and also Head of Universiti Malaya Research Centre for Biopharmaceuticals and Advanced Therapeutics (UBAT). He was awarded a Fellow by the British Pharmacological Society (FBPhS). His scope of research includes bioavailability and pharmacokinetic studies in human and animal models, drug delivery systems such as PEG-PLGA nanoparticles for systemic drug delivery, and semi-solid formulations for transdermal and topical preparation.
