He is a Doctor in Biomedical Engineering and Professor/researcher in the Department of Biological Sciences at the Universidade Estadual do Sudoeste da Bahia (UESB) and the Leader of the Research Group in Neuromuscular Physiology and the Research Center in Integrative Physiology. His research interests are mainly: neuromuscular physiology, cardiovascular physiology, and acute and chronic adaptations to exercise training.
