Dr Danijela Ristic-Medic is a Research Associate Professor, at the IMR, CENM, University of Belgrade. She is a medical doctor, specialist in internal medicine and diet therapy, with MSc and PhD in nutrition and metabolism and certified training in sports nutrition and supplementation. She has more than 25 years of experience in the basic, clinical and epidemiology nutrition research, evidence-based research and meta-analyses, with the primary area of interest in dietary intake and nutrition assessment. She has been involved in several national and EU funded projects in nutrition as a head of scientific subprojects, work tasks and projects of bilateral cooperation. Danijela has expertise with organizing and performing nutritional trials, participants recruitment and obtaining ethical approval. She authored 39 scientific articles, four book chapters and two nutrition encyclopedias chapters, and supervised 3 doctoral dissertations. According to Scopus, her number of citations (excluding self-citations) is 407 and Hirsch-index is 12. She is a member of the Medical Chamber of Serbia, Member of the Executive Board of the Nutrition Society of Serbia, and member of FENS working groups dedicated to “Improved Standards in the Science of Nutrition” and participated in ISSFAL.
