Dr. Carlos Jimenez is a Senior Research Coordinator at Enalia Physis Environmental Research Centre, Cyprus. He earned his MS in Aquatic and Marine Ecosystems from the University of Costa Rica and a PhD in Marine Biology from the Leibniz-Zentrum für Marine Tropenökologie (ZMT) in Bremen, Germany. His research activities mainly focus on the ecology and biology of coral reef formations, eastern Tropical Pacific and Caribbean coral reefs, climate signals, Mediterranean coralligenous and dark-habitats, and the recovery of coral reefs.
