Dr. Taku Obara is a Pharmacist and an Associate Professor in the Department of Preventive Medicine and Epidemiology, Tohoku University. He completed his doctoral degree in Medical Nursing at Northeastern University. The major academic societies that he belongs to are the Japan Epidemiological Association, the Japanese Society for Pharmacoepidemiology, and the Japanese Society of Pharmaceutical Health Care and Sciences. In 2012, he became a Lecturer at Tohoku University, Tohoku Medical Megabank Organization, and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2014. His areas of interest include pediatrics, side effects, pharmacoepidemiology, psychotropic drugs, preventive medicine, drug information and safety studies, folic acid, cohort, supplements, pregnancy, clinical epidemiology, and perinatal medication.
