Was born in Brazlândia, Brazil, in 1981. He is a Ph.D. candidate of the postgraduate program in computing, Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil. He received a B.Sc. degree in informatics from University of the Region of Campanha, Brazil, in 2010 and a M.Sc. degree in electrical engineering from the Federal University of Pampa, Brazil in 2017. He is currently a professor with the Center for Informatics, Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology Farroupilha, Brazil. His research interests include image processing, computer vision, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
