Wolfgang Nitschke, Research Director, works in the Laboratoire de Bioénergétique et Ingénierie des Protéines (BIP), French National Centre for Scientific Research (Marseilles, France). He is an Editorial Board Member of Life and a Section Board Member of Life. His research interests mainly focus on bioenergetics; chemiosmosis; redox enzymes; photosynthesis; and emergence of life.
