In this paper the influence of climatic parameters of building region on expedient depth of implementation of different ways of energy consumption decrease in civil buildings is reviewed. The data of multivariate calculations of power and technological efficiency of an adopted complex of energy saving measures for reference climatic zones of the terrain of Russia in modern economic conditions with allowance for discounting of costs are adduced. The analysis of the obtained outcomes is given and the guidelines are also offered at the choice of optimum combination of the solutions on a decrease of power inputs at exploitation of a building depending on the number of degree‐days of the heating season, as well as on established prices for stuffs both equipment and fares on power supplies.

The example of energy effect integrated assessment for public building using the methods proposed by Russian Scientific and Technical Civil Engineers Organisation is presented. Comparative analysis of energy saving scopes for some public buildings with calculation of a recoupment for the specified cases using investments and operating costs discounting has been made.
The paper devoted to indoor air quality providing in orthodox churches in Russia. Using the results of theoretical and experimental research made some practical recommendations for design and installation of ventilation systems in orthodox churches. Significant part of research deals with air and constructions humidity controls by reverse osmosis. It is reaffirmed that the rate of dehumidification is directly connected with the air exchange rates and operation of space heating devises in premises. It is very common to use natural ventilation in old churches. It is very easy to install and maintain, but still this way of indoor air conditions providing is absolutely not sustainable. And to avoid the leak of ventilation efficiency for different rooms it is recommended to provide mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation. Another significant issue for providing rapid wall dehumidification is properly operating space heating. It is noted that heating should be combined with an action of ventilation and electroosmotic drying.
