Employees are one of the most important stakeholders in organisations but their interests are often neglected by employers, particularly from the perspective of trade unionism that plays an essential role in safeguarding employee interests. Currently, the existing legislation has discouraged trade union activities and this has directly deprived the employees of their rights for a better working conditions at the workplace. There is also an evidence of anti-union actions taken by employer in recognition claims in order to prevent collective bargaining with trade unions. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is an important tool in an organisation where the interests of the stakeholders is sustained. This paper investigates the relationship between employer’s CSR practice and its role in reforming recognition process of trade union in Malaysia. Qualitative research is employed to achieve the objective of this study by way of analysing secondary data and conducting legalistic analysis of the case law and statutes related to the issue. Based on the findings of this study, it is found that trade union recognition process can be reformed through integrating CSR practice in the organisation.

The e-wallet feature allows consumers to make payment by transferring digital money into their virtual wallets for in-application online payments or through Quick Response (QR) codes for physical purchases. This study examines the average usage, transaction size and factors influencing the intention to adopt e-wallet among consumers during the Covid-19 pandemic. A total of 153 responses were collected and analysed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) to determine descriptive statistics and conduct multiple regression analysis to verify that performance expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, and perceived security influence the intention to use e-wallets during the Covid-19 pandemic among consumers. Performance expectancy is the strongest factor while effort expectancy is the only factor that has no influence on the intention to use e-wallets during the Covid-19 pandemic. Additionally, this study reveals that due to the current situation, consumers are pushed to adopt e-wallets despite their security concerns, and they are willing to learn to use the platforms without considering the possibilities and risks. However, the usage of e-wallets as a medium of transaction is still low due to the lack of awareness and knowledge. The outcomes of this study to provided practical contributions for policymakers and service providers on the current acceptance of e-wallets in Malaysia and to help the e-wallet industry develop more reasonable business strategies.

The decline in the density of trade unions and the decreasing number of collective agreements had resulted in a deplorable situation in Malaysia. It is difficult to resolve the problems because the trade unions' recognition process is often complex and legislatively restrictive. Nonetheless, the ratification of the International Labour Convention and ILO Convention No.87 could be a stepping stone in the reformation of the recognition process's legal framework. Therefore, the present paper analysed the role of the ILO convention in reforming the trade union recognition process in Malaysia. Additionally, a qualitative method was employed to examine the role of the convention and its mechanism in the reformation of trade union recognition. Next, pure legalistic analysis and semi-structured interviews were conducted with the industrial relations key player to obtain their perspectives on the effect of ratification on industrial relations. Based on the generated outcomes, there were mixed views on the ratification of the stated convention. Additionally, this paper analysed the impact of the ratification of the convention by the member states of the ILO and how these countries benefitted from the ratification. Finally, this paper concluded that despite the challenges, the ratification of the convention improved the trade union recognition process in Malaysia. Therefore, the Malaysian government should immediately ratify ILO Convention No.87.
