Dr. Ceddia graduated in agronomy and soil sciences from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1992) with an MSc in agronomy (soil sciences) from the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1996), and a PhD in agronomy (soil sciences) by the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (2000). He is a tenured professor at the Rural Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, a CNPq researcher (Produtividade—PQ2), and a Nosso Estado Scientist (FAPERJ-RJ). He has experience in agronomy and the digital mapping of soils. He works with soil physics, geostatistics, agroecology, digital mapping, and geoprocessing. He is a permanent professor in the Grad School in Soil Sciences (PPGA-CS/UFRRJ) and Grad School in Computational Mathematics Modeling (PPGMMC/UFRRJ).
