Giuseppe Fiume is an Associate Professor of Applied Biology (BIO/13) at the Department of Experimental and Clinical Medicine of the University of Catanzaro “Magna Graecia”. In 2008, he obtained his PhD in Biochemistry, Cellular and Molecular Biology. During his career, he has focused his research on the study of regulatory mechanisms of metabolism, transcription, and signal transduction in the context of developmental processes of immune cells, and on the etiopathogenesis of HIV-1 infection and molecular oncology. He is a member of national and international scientific societies, including the Italian Association of Biology and Genetics (AIBG), the Biochemical Society, UK, and the FEBS (Federation of European Biochemical Societies).
