Dr. Sayeed Ahmad

Dr. Sayeed Ahmad (Incharge and Associate Professor), Bioactive Natural Product Laboratory, Department of Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry, SPER, Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi-110062, India. Currently, Head of Food Technology of Jamia Hamdard, New Delhi-110062, India. Worked as Visiting Scientist (BOYSCAST Fellow) at the Division of Kidney Diseases and Hypertension, Feinstein Institute of Medical Research, 225–Community Drive, Great Neck, New York, 11021, USA, on the project entitled “Screening of anti-HIV potential of Indian medicinal plants” under the guidance and supervision of Prof. Pravin C. Singhal for six months (June–November 2011) and successfully completed Anti-HIV Screening on ten plant extracts/compounds using different screening methods on NOMI and MT2 cell lines. In 2017, Visiting Scientist at University of Khartoum, Sudan, and 2018, INSA Bilateral Exchange Fellow at Khartoum, Sudan. Published 269 manuscripts in high impact journals with an average IF 1.696, citations > 2818, h-index >26, i10 index 66 in peer-reviewed indexed journals. I have supervised more than 24 Ph.D. and 30 M.Pharm. students to date. Associated as a member of several societies: NAH, NESA, SFEC and ISE. Worked as an organizing secretary and attended several national and international conferences as delegate, invited speaker, poster presenter and awarded by several prizes nationally and internationally.
