Dr. Bappaditya Naskar is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Chemistry, Sundarban Hazi Desarat College, which is affiliated with the University of Calcutta, India. He undertook his PhD in Surface and Colloid Chemistry at the Jadavpur University, India, in 2013. After his Ph.D., he worked as a post-doctoral fellow in CEA Avignon, France, from 2013 to 2014. His research primarily focuses on surface and colloid chemistry, Langmuir-Blodgett films, polyoxometalates (POMs), and nanomaterial, with applications in drug delivery, wastewater treatment, and mimicking of lipids. His research relates to the multidisciplinary approach of supramolecular chemistry of lipids, coacervates, block co-polymers, and surfactants. He has performed and participated in several soft colloid experiments at BARC and Synchrotron Soleil - Cea Paris-Saclay, France. Dr. Naskar is currently serving as a leading guest editor for a special issue of the Journal of Surfactants and Detergents: a Tribute to Prof. S. P. Moulik.
