PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU) (2010), obtaining the Extraordinary Doctorate Award. Since August 2021, she is Adjunt Professor in the Chemical Engineering Department of the Faculty of Science and Technology.
Her professional activity has always been developed at the UPV/EHU, since 2005, when she joined the Catalytic Processes and Waste Valorisation group (PROCAT-VARES), research group of the Department of Chemical Engineering. She has participated in around 20 competitive R&D&I projects, founded by various entities and companies. Her line of research is framed within the R&D&I platforms of the Waste Refinery, developing thermo-catalytic processes for the valorisation of refinery waste streams and consumer society waste (such as tires and plastics) through the sustainable production of automotive fuels and high added-value products. The results have led to around 40 publications in international journals. She also has more than 60 contributions to international conferences. She has supervised one PhD Thesis and is currently supervising three PhD Theses.
