José Alberto Gonçalves earned his B.Sc. in Geographic Engineering from the University of Porto. He graduated from the University College London, Department of Geomatic Engineering with M.Sc. in GIS (1993) and Ph.D. in Photogrammetry (2001). He is a Professor at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto. His research mainly focuses on the application of Photogrammetry and high-resolution mapping to environmental monitoring as well as the integration of GNSS, inertial navigation, and video for mobile mapping.
