Dr. Marylène Tignon received her PhD in Agronomic Sciences and Genetic Engineering from the University of Gembloux, Belgium, in 2002. She worked as a researcher at CODA-CERVA from 2000 to 2018, and at Sciensano since the merger in 2018. In 2024, she was promoted to Head of Scientific Service for "Viral, Reemerging, Enzootic, and Bee Diseases" in the Department of Infectious Diseases in Animals. Her research topics mainly include African Swine Fever Virus and Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus.
