Dr. Andrea Morciano, who graduated and specialized with honors from the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart-Policlinico Agostino Gemelli in Rome (Director Prof. Giovanni Scambia), is the Medical Director in Gynecology and Obstetrics at the Pia Fondazione "Cardinale G. Panico" in Tricase (LE). He specializes in Laparoscopic Surgery of the Female Pelvis and Urogynecology. He is currently the AIUG Young National Coordinator (under 40 sessions of the Italian Association of UroGynecology and Pelvic Floor) and AIUG Regional Head for Puglia. He was the Winner of the "Giorgio Pardi Foundation-Society for Gynecologic Investigation AWARD 2013," at the 2013 SGI Meeting in Orlando, Florida (USA), for the validation of the Morciano Index: index of insulin resistance in thin patients with Micropolicystic Ovary.
